Item is not suitable for use with a wood stove as purchased. Paint is not heat compatible and burns. Voids in the casting were filled with some kind of filler. Burned and melted paint had to be cleaned off stove. Entire pot needed to be sandblasted and properly finished with heat resistant stove paint.

I received the kettle with a broken lid. It got broken from the Holiday shipping rush. Lid could have been wrapped better, however the seller issued a full refund very promtly! A new kettle could not be reshipped because Christmas was two days away, not enough time.
