I've had a few rice cookers before this one and none of them compared to this! I love this rice cooker- I use basmati, jasmine, and calrose. They all come out perfectly. I also use it to cook beans and oatmeal in. I chose this machine over the others because of all the different functions it has- I especially love that you can choose the texture of the rice.
Buy this machine! You will be pleased.

I LOVE THIS RICE COOKER! It is quiet, compact, has a sleek design and keeps rice warm on your kitchen counter top for days (though not always recommended ;))! Going from a regular pressure cooker that produced brown rice with inconsistent results, this is a dream--perfect brown rice every time!

I think this is a lovely rice cooker. It makes quinoa and rice very well. However, there is a trade off for perfectly cooked rice. You can't interrupt the cooking cycle to add other ingredients, so most rice-cooker recipes are totally useless. It all depends on how you want to use it I guess.
