 Too much Velvetta January 6, 2009
I bought this for my graduate student daughter along with a slow cooker she wanted. I thought this would be the perfect companion for the slow cooker since her time is so limited. While there are many very good sounding recipes quite a few use Velvetta - not the healthiest of choices. In retrospect I think I should have gotten the "Fix-it & Forget-it Healthy" cook book instead.

My wife and I have tried several recipes from this book and every single one of them lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

The cookbook is very "user Friendly" and tasty. The seller was very honest and accomodating. After purhasing the product the seller informed me that the condition was different than what was orginally listed. He offered to refund the difference to make up for it.

Couldn't do without it!
I usually cook for one or two, and have been able to adapt most of the recipes for my small slow cooker without any problem. As someone who is too busy, (and as other have said, too tired) to spend a lot of time preparing meals, this book is a perfect choice.
There is a great variety, of recipes, amd so I never feel that I am limited in my choices. Although everything is wonderful, I would recommend the chicken dishes the most.

I love the simplicity of these recipes and there is plenty of room for scribbling notes which is fantastic. It is intended as a launch pad recipe book for a busy home maker to use and adapt, not a book to impress your gormet friends. It certainly fills a need in our home!
