I didnt check on its dimensions before buying it. Although I love Amazon but I never understood how could Amazon be so ignorant in about product descriptions. It not just about this product, they dont explain the specifications and details of the product as good as it could be seen in google online purchase. Many times I have to google the product, do its webssite, check the details and then come back to amazon and order it.
Nonetheless it is certainly a very small cooker, just good enough for cooking rice enough for 2 people (if they eat normally :D). Cooker works greats. Been using it for 6 months and no complains yet.

I don't like things that require lots of clean up after. I bought this so I could have rice cooking and not have to pay much attention to it if I was interrupted by kids etc. First time use, I did 1 cup measure of brown rice using the enclosed cup, and filled to the 1 mark line for water on the pot per the instructions. Clicked cook and went about cooking the rest of my meal. 10 minutes later and there is splattering of starchy water out of the little vent hole in the lid. Everywhere - for a 1 foot radius around the entire cooker. I unplugged it, cleaned it up, started again with only a half cup measure of rice, and water to the appropriate line. Same thing. Splatter everywhere. This time I had a towel underneath it and let the rice finish cooking. It was perfectly cooked at least.
I then attempted steel cut oatmeal overnight using the Warm function. That did not splatter and made for creamy wonderful oatmeal first thing in the morning. Right now I am doing a 1/4 cup measure of barley with water to the 1/2 mark line (since barley requires a little more water than rice). It's splattering on Cook.
I think this will be delegated to only oatmeal or other hot cereals on Warm. The Cook function causes the boil-over or splattering and therefore clean up. Not sure if I'll be trying another rice cooker.

I bought this Rice Cooker with the impression that it's a 3-cup rice cooker but it was NOT. This rice cooker looks pretty much like a toy. It's cute and all that but it's no where near a 3 cup rice cooker. It's not even yield 3 cup of rice. It's probably good for college kid living in a dorm. Work okay but for some reasons, rice always rise more on one side so it looks kinda funny. Other than that, it's a cute workable toy.

Rice cookers are not complicated but some cookers can sometimes overcook if the sensor isn't accurate. I've used this particular model about a dozen times since I've bought it and it's always worked just right. The only variable in the doneness of the rice is the amount of water I put. Even after the "cook" cycle is complete and it switches over to warm, it still doesn't overcook for a while. Eventually it will, but you have plenty of time to avoid that. Generally, if I plan to keep it in warm mode more than 20 minutes, I will stir the rice up from the bottom and mix it up to prevent.
Otherwise, you just can't go wrong given the price and quality offered here. Also, I find it a cinch to clean up, and I appreciate that it comes with a spoon and a measuring cup. Nice touch. Unless you're cooking rice for 3 or more people, this rice cooker is just the right size. Usually I cook for one, eat half the rice after cooking and save the rest for fried rice a day or 2 later.
